REFINED INSTALLATION
Design evolution has prompted Aztec Conservatory Roof Systems to upgrade its education for fitters, with publication of new installation instructions, in paper and on the ‘net…
The company, now the leading independent conservatory roof systems supplier, has produced the new installation instructions to ensure fitters are up-to-date with changes to the system. And in response to increasing popular use of web resources, the guide can be downloaded from Aztec’s website, as well as being available in traditional printed format.
Colin Bennett, Aztec sales director, elaborates, “We have always maintained the Aztec roof is engineered to have the least number of components, and be one of the quickest and easiest to assemble. Simultaneously, we have taken advantage of advances in technology and changing trends in conservatory roofs to develop and evolve the system whilst remaining true to our ethos of ‘less is more’. To cite an example, increased use of glass has led several competitors to introduce complex fixing systems to secure the glazing- and its additional weight- in place. Our glazing support was already one simple component, which enabled one man to position, secure and fit the glazing: all we have done additionally is to incorporate a plastic trim that slip-fits over the glass and into the support.
“With our continuing expansion, more fitters are using our roof system, and want easy-to-follow guidance. Now they have that, in a simple step-by-step document which they can access wherever and whenever necessary. Even if they get to site and need a copy to hand, they can easily borrow the client’s computer and web access to double-check a detail or download the complete manual- all four pages of it, including illustrative photos for every stage and technical drawings: that so much detail can be included into so little pagination further demonstrates the simplicity of the system!”
